How does digital voice work?

Digital Voice is a Voice-over-IP service that allows you to make calls or receive calls via the Internet.

What do I need in order to use the digital voice service?

In order to enjoy our digital voice service, you will need to have an active Internet connection with any service providers.  In addition, you will need an Internet-Protocol (IP) phone or softphone in order for you to make or receive calls.

I have wireless internet connection; can I use your digital voice?

If you only have wireless access to the Internet, you can still enjoy our digital voice service via a softphone app on your PC or mobile phone.  Alternatively, you can purchase a WIFI IP Phone from us.

Do I need to buy an IP Phone?

You will need an IP Phone or a VoIP softphone to make/receive calls through our network.   If you do not have an IP Phone or a VoIP softphone, you will only be able to receive calls via the PSTN/GSM network through our call forwarding/diverting feature.

What kind of plan is suitable for me?

A typical user just needs to sign up with our Basic plan.  For sales or mobile worker, we recommend to sign up the Advanced plan to enjoy the Follow-me feature.  For customer service officers, we recommend to sign up for the Professional plan.

Can I have different plans for my office?

You can sign up multiple plans for the different users in your organization.  All users are billed under one Organization ID.

Besides the monthly subscription, what other charges do I need to pay?

Besides monthly subscription of the service, you will be charged monthly for the call usage based on outgoing call minutes.  In addition, there is a one-time charge for service turn-on as well as the purchase of IP phone, if any.

I like to retain my existing landline number, is it possible?

Just sign up for our service and we will help you to port over your existing number(s) to our system.  All you need to do is to authorize us to handle the number porting on your behalf.

What happens if I move office?

The IP Phone is plug-and-play.  When you move your office to another premises, you can simply bring along the IP Phone.  If you need assistance to help in the migration, we are always glad to support the relocation.

I am a foreigner, can I sign up your service?

For foreigners, you are required to produce your identification documents and proof of residence.  Once verified, you can sign up with our service.

What documents do I need to provide?

For individuals, you are required (by IMDA) to produce your identification document such as NRIC or passport (foreigner) before we can turn on the service.  For corporate customers, you are required to provide the ACRA biz profile for proof of incorporation in Singapore, and the identification documents of the applicant.

How do I terminate the service?

To terminate the service with us, please write to support@voxclaire.com.  The notice period for termination is 30 days.
